Emergencies
A doctor is always available to deal with emergencies. They can be contacted by telephoning 343390; the call will be directed to the doctor on call, who may not always be one of the doctors from this practice. Please remember that out-of-hours calls are for emergency situations and not for routine care which could wait until the surgery re-opens.
Appointments
All consultations are by appointment which can be made in person or by telephone during the above opening times (call 343937). If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so we can use that time for somebody else. We try to keep to appointment times and are sorry if sometimes you have to wait before you see the doctor or nurse. This is because some problems take longer to deal with - please bear with us. Monday is our busiest day of the week. If your problem is routine, you might find it easier to contact us later in the week.
If you have a preference of doctor we will try to accommodate you. However, it may not be possible to make an appointment with your doctor of choice for a variety of reasons. If this happens, an explanation will be given.
“IMPORTANT! PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ON-LINE BOOKED APPOINTMENTS ARE FOR A TELEPHONE RING-BACK FROM A DOCTOR. THEY ARE NOT AN APPOINTMENT TO COME INTO THE SURGERY. IF AFTER TALKING TO THE DOCTOR HE OR SHE FEELS YOU NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR OR NURSE AN APPOINTMENT WILL BE MADE FOR YOU AT A TIME AND DATE TO SUIT YOU”

Urgent Problems
These will be seen by one of the doctors as soon as possible. In these instances, we instruct our receptionists to ask for more details to help the doctor. We cannot guarantee that you will be seen by a particular doctor.
Follow-up Appointments
If a doctor asks to see you again (a follow-up appointment), the doctor will make your appointment before you leave their surgery. If the doctor asks you to make a follow-up appointment yourself, it is because the doctor does not feel it necessary to see you personally and you can make your follow-up appointment with any doctor or sometimes the nurse practitioner.
Book your appointments online
Before you can start booking GP appointments online (or order repeat prescriptions) you must first register your details for this service.
It is quick and easy to register. You will need to come into the surgery for an application form and then you will be given the relevant details to enable you to set up an account and use the system.
Once registered you will be able to view any appointments you have already made, cancel them if necessary, or book a new appointment with the doctor.
When you book an appointment online you will receive confirmation which you can print off and bring with you when you attend the surgery. There is no need to reconfirm
