Out of Hours

These are only for those patients who are housebound because of illness or disability, or are too ill to come to the surgery.

If possible, telephone the surgery before 10.00am and explain the problem to the receptionists - one of the doctors may ring to discuss your problem. We try to visit the most ill patients first. The receptionist will ask for your telephone number as the doctor may need it. Visits requested after 12 noon may be seen the following day unless they are urgent.

Home visits take up a lot of a doctor's time and often they are unnecessary. Generally, it is not harmful to bring a child with a temperature or a rash to the surgery and you may be asked to do this. Please help us by coming into the surgery whenever possible as consultations at the surgery enable the doctor to use all the equipment available in order to make an informed diagnosis.
