Outside our normal working hours, an emergency doctor is available for urgent medical problems. They can be contacted on 0845 056 8060. Generally, this is not one of the doctors from this practice. You may be asked to attend an alternative medical centre.

If you are on regular medication the doctor may allow you to have a number of repeat prescriptions without being seen, although you will need to be reviewed by a doctor at least once a year.

All repeat prescriptions are recorded on and issued from our practice computer and will have a counterfoil attached detailing all your repeat prescribed medicines. To order your repeat medication:

We have a repeat prescription order line for elderly or housebound patients. This facility is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The line is manned between 10.00am - 1.00pm Monday to Friday. At other times or during busy periods you will be able to leave your request on our answer machine. We request that able-bodied patients only use this facility as a last resort, or leave a message on the voice mail outside of manned hours.

Prescriptions are available for collection two full working days after your request. For your convenience we will post prescriptions to you if you leave a stamped addressed envelope.

MOST LOCAL CHEMISTS CALL AT THE SURGERY SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK AND MANY OFFER A COLLECTION SERVICE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.
